  • The daily amount of calcium you need depends on your age. In the table below, each “glass” equals one serving of milk (8 fl oz):

    Age 1 to 3 = 500 milligrams (about 2 glasses of milk)
    Age 4 to 8 = 800 milligrams (approximately 3 glasses of milk)
    Age 9 to 18 = 1,300 milligrams (approximately 4 1/3 glasses of milk)
    Age 19 to 50 = 1,000 milligrams (about 3 1/3 glasses of milk)
    Age 50+ = 1,200 milligrams (about 4 glasses of milk)
