![]() Queenie the Cow, named by PENN MAID DAIRY founder Harry Goldberg in honor of his wife Queenie, has graced the packaging of Philadelphia's PENN MAID DAIRY products for generations. Her sweet face has become well-known to consumers and synonymous with PENN MAID DAIRY's reputation as a producer of premium quality cultured dairy products in the tri-state region. In 1999, a larger than life mascot version of Queenie was created to provide extra fun and enjoyment for families at the many community events that PENN MAID DAIRY supports over the year. When designing Queenie the mascot to reflect her already famous face, PENN MAID DAIRY had to consider the fact that her eyes had always appeared closed on the packaging logo. Her creators unanimously voted to open her eyes for the mascot design. Once Queenie saw her public she was hard to keep home at the Dairy! When she is out on the town promoting PENN MAID DAIRY, Queenie dresses up in her eyelet-trimmed, blue gingham checked apron featuring the name Queenie and the PENN MAID DAIRY logo or for sporty days she dons her Coach Queenie sweatshirt and hat! Check out Queenie's Schedule for a time and place near your neighborhood to meet Queenie! Bring the kids... the camera... and the grandparents for a great time! |
